Stephanie, if you look back to the post just prior to this one, “The Joy of Having a Grandmother Who Sews”, there is a link to the tutorial on which the bonnets were based, with a few modifications. The short brim is great.
I thought the bonnets were a fun kid idea that would be loved briefly and then set aside, but they have gotten a lot of use. The girls love them and wear them often, and receive a lot of compliments on how cute they are.
